Flamingods are a four-piece multi-instrumental band from Bahrain and London, founded in 2010 by Kamal Rasool and now consisting of Rasool, Sam Rowe, Charles Prest and Karthik Poduval. The group explores and experiments with an array of influences from Western psychedelia, jazz and indie, to a wide-eyed obsession with music from the East. Using a vast selection of instruments from the Middle East and Asia, the band marries this with Western synthesisers, guitars and drums to create a potent sound all of its own that they call ‘Exotic Psychedelia’. They have previously released music on an array of reputable indies including Moshi Moshi, Soundway, Art is Hard and Shape and are currently working on their fourth studio record.
Flamingods have garnered a reputation as one of the most exciting and energising live acts to emerge in recent years. They've appeared at festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, Transmusicales, SXSW, The Great Escape, Green Man, and End Of The Road, and sold out shows in clubs around Europe. Their colourful and animated live set, described by The Quietus as "a melting pot of psychedelic-flavoured fare" has universal appeal and has won them fans across the globe.

The Keep Cats
Current Eagle Radio Battle of the Bands winners and slackers, The Keep Cats, are brothers Eden and Jonah and their mates Fin and Louus Stix. Hailing from Brighton, Reading and Guildford, The Keep Cats are a little bit lo-fi, sort of punky, very groovy, substantially indie and 100% pure energy. HTTPS://www.facebook.com/thekeepcats1969/
Viciously audacious novices to electric noise we have crafted a merciless assemblage of leering disdain, Erotomania, Genocidal Lament, infanticide, calculated Matricide, funeral dodgers, dystopian angst and surreptitious worshipping at the altar of Bastet to flavour this record. We won't be making you a sandwich motherfuckers - Madonnatron
Much in the manner a devotional feline will proudly massacre vermin, leaving it's sacrificial remains to fetter your hallway carpet, we bring you Madonnatron. From humble yet auspicious beginnings, arising unabashed from the mists of the Thames, they have thwarted reasonable doubt with limited knowledge of their instruments and two fingers at convention.
Escapades so far include: completing a spring 2018 UK headline tour; a full room capacity slot at Portsmouth Psych Fest; two Fluffer Pit Parties - one headlining the official after party; touring with The Moonlandingz, PINS & supporting The Black Lips; featuring on the line up at UK festivals - Raw Power & The Alternative Escape Republic of Music Courtyard session this year plus a packed out slot on the Rising Stage at Green Man last year; two live sessions for Marc Riley on BBC 6 Music; a live session for John Kennedy, and a John Kennedy ‘Artist In Residence’ slot on Radio X; touring with Trashmouth Records and label mates Meatraffle across the UK at the end of 2016, and releasing their eponymously-titled first record in July 2017. The band are currently enjoying rave reviews for both LP & live shows, featuring in Mojo, Q, The Quietus, Line Of Best Fit, Louder Than War amongst many others; appearing at #22 in The Quietus’ top 100 albums of the year and in their top 50 singles of 2017; Amazon's Best New Bands of 2017 list; as well as gaining top album status in numerous independent music blogs across the world.
Their atmospheric, raw, and confrontational live shows deliver a sound reminiscent of early Joy Division, The Gun Club and The Stooges- these sirens will mercilessly lure you onto the rocks…….
"Songs that will make you dance and sing along while you feel the seedy, swirling force" – 4/5 Mojo
"They are funny and deadly serious, chaotic and fully focused, and making ace records" – ‘The Lead Review’, The Quietus
"The songs of the sirens, ready to pull you to your doom whilst having an absolute ball on the way. A testament to their current strength and future potential" – 8/10 Louder Than War
"The resulting album blisters with brilliance" – The Line Of Best Fit
"If Madonnatron was an amplifier, it would be a mutha of a Krell beater, a class A with plenty of power in reserve. Better than Led Zeppelin" - Zsa Zsa Sapien of Meatraffle
"Like The Bangles on drugs"
The Menstrual Cramps
Penelope Isles is the sound of brother and sister Jack and Lily Wolter, from Brighton, UK. A dynamic lustrous blend of lush harmonies, hypnotic textures tangled with a tangy pop zest with a hazy exuberance. Their collection of songs are the wide eyed optimism of youth with a knack for great pop hooks which smear with psych fuzz, similar to the likes of Cheatahs, or Moon King. Their tracks are like your favourite sweets with shards of broken glass embedded in them, the potential of which is just screaming out for attention. The band are currently recording new songs as well as playing shows around the UK and Europe. A potent aesthetic and a tireless live performance. For the lovers of Radiohead, Deerhunter and The Thrills. [https://penelopeisles.tumblr.com/tagged/about]
SK Shlomo, formerly known as Shlomo, is the brainchild of London-born singer-songwriter, beatboxer, producer and live looping technologist Simon Shlomo Kahn.
Born into a Middle-Eastern immigrant family, SK Shlomo first found musical success while studying Astrophysics at Leeds University, though his focus on music - which included touring as part of international hip hop group Foreign Beggars - ultimately led to him abandoning his studies.
From the age of 8, SK Shlomo began studying drums, percussion and piano. After winning a music scholarship at 9 years old, he began performing internationally in youth orchestras, writing music, drumming in his father’s jazz quartet, singing in a close-harmony group and in his teens building a following on the local band circuit.
From an early age he used vocal percussion as a way to practise and compose music, and by the age of 20 he was considered an early pioneer of modern beatboxing. SK Shlomo’s electronic sound quickly expanded on the art form’s traditional hip hop roots by adopting looping technology and drawing on his diverse influences, including trip hop, Latin and jazz, soul, reggae, art-pop, alternative rock and rave culture.
SK Shlomo first reached an international audience through his 2004 collaboration with Iceland’s Bjork and a 2005 solo performance on BBC2’s Later With Jools Holland. From 2007 onwards, as Artist in Residence at London’s Southbank Centre alongside regular appearances at Glastonbury Festival, he collaborated with artists as diverse as Damon Albarn, Martha Wainwright, The Specials, Basement Jaxx, Newton Faulkner, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, Jarvis Cocker and Lily Allen.
SK Shlomo’s fascination with technology led him to become the first World Looping Champion in 2011. Frustrated with the limitations of commercial looping equipment, he taught himself software engineering and developed an innovative customised live looping instrument, unveiled at a TEDx Talk in 2016.
Inspired by the freedom of this new machine, SK Shlomo has unlocked a new approach to his solo production, singing and songwriting, with two EPs planned for release in 2017 followed by his debut studio album.
“Master of the fine art of beatboxing” The Independent “The kid’s good. Jaw-droppingly good.” The Guardian “Forget one-man band, this guy is a one-man music festival.” The Times “Slick theatrics and soulful vocal gymnastics” Evening Standard “A fascinating contrast between his extraordinary willowy, soft-edged charm and his dangerously energised performing” The Telegraph “Scarily talented“ Metro “The Prince of Fringe Beatboxers” Edinburgh Festival Magazine
From behind his TVAM moniker, producer Joe Oxley reappears with his debut album ‘Psychic Data’ which will be released on Friday 19th October 2018. Crafting a world which touches on our memories but toys with our fears, a world in which information seeps under your door and pools by your feet, a world in which he seeks to define everything from abandoned meanings to subconscious desires, PSYCHIC DATA invites us to experience the psychodrama first hand.
Self-produced and home-recorded, the album was mixed by the steady hands of Dean Honer (Moonlandingz, I Monster, Add (N) To X) - “It was great working with Dean. I’m a massive Add N To (X) fan and knew he’d get where I was coming from after hearing what he was doing with Moonlandingz. Somewhere within a lifetime of repeats, reruns and reboots, TVAM lives, crafting sounds and visuals which touch on our memories but toy with our fears. A world in which broadcast becomes performance. Hypnotic tracks which straddle an impressive spectrum of influence; with Boards of Canada’s irresistible nostalgia, Suicide’s deconstructed rock’n’roll and MBV’s infinite noise all becoming touching points in Oxley’s musical output.
Shining a harsh light on our nostalgia, TVAM’s live show is something of a spectacle. Blurring the line between art and performance, Oxley is aided by long-dead technology and haunted sloganeering to broadcast his self-styled psychic data. Toying with the power of influence, TVAM offers no comfort in this age of unease.
