Heavy Pop presents...
"If anyone’s gonna do anything from Liverpool in the next 12 months, it’ll be this lot" - NME
Previous AYL guests Trudy and the Romance return to Reading showcase material off their new EP Junkyard Jazz.
Somewhere among the daydreamers and heartbreakers, beauty queens and jock teens, Trudy and the RRomance are looking to lure you into their suitably skewed, cinematic world.
Following radio spins by John Kennedy, BBC Radio 1s Huw Stephens & Phil Taggart and 6 Music's Steve Lamacq (as Featured Artist Of The Week), recording sessions with Bill Ryder Jones and Spring Kings Tarek Musa ensued. After a year of performing packed-out shows and numerous festivals across UK and France, the trio found their way into the pages of style magazines such as i-D, Wonderand and Nylon and finished the year as part of DIYs Class of 2017 and NME's 100 for 2017.

Trudy and the Romance
Ladies and gentlemen, hot off the block it’s the kids that pop your cotton socks off, Trudy and the Romance baby.
King Knit are an indie rock three-piece formed in Bracknell, UK whilst still at school in 2011. Barely out of their teens, they've self-released four EPs and played with the likes of The Shimmer Band, Nizlopi and Blackwaters.
The Keep Cats
Current Eagle Radio Battle of the Bands winners and slackers, The Keep Cats, are brothers Eden and Jonah and their mates Fin and Louus Stix. Hailing from Brighton, Reading and Guildford, The Keep Cats are a little bit lo-fi, sort of punky, very groovy, substantially indie and 100% pure energy. HTTPS://www.facebook.com/thekeepcats1969/
